Welcome to this special partnered edition of Awakening Pleasure
In many bodies, pleasure and pain have become over-coupled. Layers of tension, protection, emotion, and unspoken stories can sit between sensation and satisfaction. This special one-time edition of Awakening Pleasure offers a different pace: the pace of the body, in connection with another.
Through guided exercises, somatic awareness, consent practices, and structured partnered de-armouring, we’ll explore how supportive, non-sexual touch can help the body soften and open again – one step at a time. This partnered edition is for vulva owners only: you may come with a designated practice partner who is also a vulva owner, or come alone and be paired in the space.
If you’re unsure whether a partnered format is for you, you’re welcome to join one of the other Awakening Pleasure sessions, which focus on self-touch:
Partnered Clitoral Exploration
Do you feel slightly numb, tense, or rushed around clitoral pleasure? You’re not alone. Many people notice they rely on intense stimulation or feel disconnected from subtler sensation.
This workshop is an invitation to explore the clitoris through slowness, consent, sensitivity, and embodied listening. Working in pairs, you’ll be guided to support one another in softening where the body has armoured through pain, discomfort, numbness, or protection.
Doing this work alone can already be powerful. Doing it together offers something different: the experience of being held by another person’s grounded presence while you soften, listen, and stay with what is there. For many, there can also be something deeply meaningful in exploring as an exchange between two vulva owners, even without erotic attraction – a shared embodied understanding, a familiarity with the territory, and a way of meeting one another from resonance rather than performance.
PRACTICALITIES
WHAT TO EXPECT
The evening follows a guided structure, with space to land in the body, connect with each other, and move step by step through the practice. Within your pair, you will both have the opportunity to receive and to give, and during the evening you will be invited to switch roles. Throughout the workshop, there is room for your own pace, your body’s wisdom, and the uniqueness of each connection.
You’ll be guided through consent, communication, and soft, non-sexual partnered de-armouring touch in a supportive group setting. There is nothing you need to achieve or perform. You may experience tenderness, emotion, awkwardness, relief, pleasure, or very subtle sensation. You are always welcome to pause, adapt the practice, or choose what feels right for you.
WHO IS THIS FOR
This Is for You If…
You are a vulva owner curious about clitoral de-armouring.
You feel open to exploring intimacy through slowness, consent, communication, and subtle sensation in a partnered group setting.
You are willing to engage with care, communicate boundaries clearly, and meet yourself and others with respect.
This Is Not for You If…
You want a space centered on pleasuring one another.
You do not feel ready for partnered practice or for communicating boundaries clearly.
You are not willing to take responsibility for your own emotional self-regulation.
No experience in de-armouring required.
Health & Safety – Participation is not suitable if you are pregnant, have active infections or outbreaks, severe unresolved psychological trauma, psychosis, or serious physical illness. When in doubt, reach out.
DO I NEED A PARTNER
You may come with a designated partner or friend you wish to work with, as long as they are also a vulva owner, or come alone and trust the process of being paired in the space. This workshop is an exchange between two vulva owners, and within your pair you will both have the opportunity to receive and to give, with time to switch roles during the evening. It is therefore not possible to attend with a male partner or penis owner. The facilitator will guide, but this is a self-exploration workshop in pairs, not therapy.
